The last track played by David Guetta during his show in Mauritius in 2007 was Nirvana’s “Smells like teen spirit” with (how to say it) a predictable consequence on the crowd. In more simple terms, we all went berserk:

Web 0.0

I’ve just realised something while reading this.

Everyone on the planet is talking of Web 2.0 (the web as a platform needing lots of bandwidth i.e. for applications like Flickr or YouTube). Here in Mauritius we don’t have the required bandwidth to normally experience Web 1.0 sites correctly (for instance, Amazon can be extremely slow here even when using ADSL.)

So, I can only conclude one thing:

    Mauritius is a Web 0.0 country :-)

Microsoft is stupid…

… for at least those two recent (and well publicised) blunders:

  • Wiki-gate Rick Jelliffe was offered money by Microsoft to make the Office Open XML page on Wikipedia “more objective” (as said by Rob Weir). The slight problem is that this is considered to be a Conflict of Interest which is clearly a breach in the terms of use of the encyclopedia.
  • Bribing Giving free laptops to bloggers (i.e. bribing them) so that they are more inclined to write something positive about Microsoft and/or Microsoft products.

Stupid!
