Impressed by the many birthday wishes I have received

I am immensely grateful for (and very impressed with) the very large number of birthday wishes I have obtained from all of you. Actually, I’m still getting them after two days.

Last night, we were at a cocktail and many people knew and wished me happy birthday.

I’m impressed by how social networks, like Facebook and LinkedIn, allow Christina and I to have such a large reach. What I love is that it’s not only a numbers game. We’re talking of real (yet virtual) relationships with a lot of people. I realised that when I read the birthday wishes…

So thank you again everyone 🥰

Supergirl has ended and we are a bit sad

Supergirl, the TV show, ran for six seasons from 2015 and 2021, staring Melissa Benoist as Kara Danvers / Supergirl, Chyler Leigh as Alex Danvers, David Harewood as J’onn J’onzz, Katie McGrath as Lena Luthor (plus Jon Cryer as Lex Luthor and Brenda Strong as Lillian Luthor), Mehcad Brooks as James Olsen, Azie Tesfai as Kelly Olsen, Jeremy Jordan as Winn Schott, Jesse Rath as Brainiac-5, Nicole Maines as Nia Nal, Calista Flockhart as Cat Grant, Peta Sergeant as Nxylgsptinz, Chris Wood as Mon-El and Amy Jackson as Imra Ardeen (among others).

Christina and I found it very enjoyable and we had many nice evenings watching one or two episodes after dinner. Supergirl, while being a DC superhero(ine) show, is a bit more than that.

It is also about being a good person, being honest and trustworthy. It promotes gender equality (and Nicole Maines as Nia Nal was a revelation). It shows that, whatever the issue, it is through collaboration that solutions can be found. Sure, it is cheesy but it is a good cheesy.

Melissa Benoist is a wonderful actress, is absolutely gorgeous and always has good vibes. I’m sure that she is a cool person in real life. I really liked the ways she respects everyone despite being Supergirl and her relationship with Mon-El during Season 2 was great.

I am sad that we have finally arrived to the end of Supergirl and the last episode was quite good. Really worth watching when you have some time. We rated it 8/10.
