I have always been an audio and music buff and, over the years, I have managed to acquire a very good HiFi system, mainly built using Yamaha components. There are two reasons why I chose Yamaha. First, Mauritius being Mauritius, Yamaha is one of the few brands which can be bought in the island. In particular, it is practically impossible to find high-end components and brands in Mauritius. The second reason is, of course, that Yahama components are of high quality and offer excellent value for money.

Hello. Im very glad that there’s a lot of people who are interested in high end audio. I currently have a yamaha AS 801 amplifier hooked to a pair of JBL E60. Ive an offer for Imfinity R263 reference. Someone selling it at 20k. Well i dont know if its worth the move or better keep my jbls🤔
Avinash Meetoo says
I don’t know anything about the R263 but according to this review (https://hometheaterreview.com/measurements-i-also-did-full/amp/), the speaker is designed for audiophiles and not for those who listen to mainstream music or use the speaker in a home cinema setup…

I have been a customer of JKL for over 30 years.
But this time desperate as its not worth invest in Yamaha.
Paid cash 2020
RX V385
Pair of speakers
Bass box
Almost RS 50 000
After 2 years my amplifier stop functioning
Sent for repairs was told that humidity was responsible and a component has to be replaced at half the value of the amp.
At this price is it worth?
Yamaha at JKL never never
Avinash Meetoo says
Two years only? That’s very bad luck. Hope you’ll find a solution soon.
On my side, I have a Yamaha RX-V475 AV Receiver which I purchased in September 2013 and which is still working fine. Fingers crossed. I also own Yamaha guitars, guitar amps, subwoofers and speakers and I have not had any issue. I guess I have been somewhat lucky.
