IBM will sell its PC division to the Chinese company, Lenovo, in 2005.
Under this complex arrangement, Lenovo will become the third largest PC supplier behind HP and Dell.
As stated, “the deal would allow IBM to continue its shift from selling so-called commodity products toward selling services, software and high-end computers.”
